Walking On History in Madrid

A few days back I posted that Madrid's buildings are exuberant on top. Frankly, it seems that every part of the building...and the public spaces...get a lot of love when it comes to solid materials and design that stands the test of time. Certainly that is true of the historic core...the majority of these photos were taken there over the course of the last few days. Each place and and space is unique...but stone is the main material utilized and the one that holds up to the rigors of this dense and bustling city.
