The Parasol in Seville...hmmm...

In the heart of the historic center of Seville, on the Plaza de la Encarnación, landed the Parasol...a sculptural structure of flowing wood forms that rises skyward and bridges a street. I was excited to experience the Parasol having seen it in the design press over the past few years. Perhaps it was the day I was there, but it seemed vast, vacant, and a bit flimsy...especially where it landed at the ground plane. To be sure it is striking and photographs well, but it sure didn't touch my soul the way that the Alcazar did...I have my doubts at it will stand that same test of time.
