Granada, Part 5...The Generalife

The highest buildings of the Alhambra complex are also some of the latest. Andalusian and moorish influences are combined in a more humble series of courts. The sound of water strongly permeates the complex and dances in the largest courtyard from a large array of spigots. Brick, stone, tile, wood, carved plaster, painted plaster, terra cotta roofs, overlooks, and romantic gardens combine to create one of our favorite places of the entire complex.
