Muelle UNO, The Fortress and the new Waterfront

Malaga is a port city, important for the volume of cargo and cruise ships whose goods and tourism benefits the waterfront, town, and region. We arrived with a vague plan to visit the new waterfront. Wile Cynthia worked with her colleagues in the town of Alhaurin del Torre. Where we were staying, the boys and I climbed up to the fortress that overlooks the harbor. Well, most of the way up...Ian's propensity to low blood sugar turned into "hangry" (hungry+anger) and we only made itabout 2/3 of the way up. Fortunately by then we could see our destination...a new urban waterfront with shops, restaurants and a long promenade that seemed particular geared to cruise ship passengers. We descended a new series of ramps toward the harbor in search of sustenance and hopefully a bit of design inspiration.

We found a restaurant and the boys enjoyed pizzas (again!). After lunch, we walked the length of the Muelle UNO waterfront before rounding the bend toward the linear overhead spine and park that made up another edge of the development.
