Alcudia and Beach Time at Bon Aire

From our visit to Petra we kept driving to the northeast portion of the island. Once we hit the coast we traveled through miles of intense beachside development...this sure feels different from our remote home at the other end of the island. Lunch in the old walled city of Alcudia was the goal. Parking was a cinch and we ambled in to the network of streets that have largely filled with shops and restaurants. Along the way Cynthia found a cool dress by a local designer named Swonyi B (could have bought just about the whole store!). A great lunch followed in a sweet little plaza...great food and waiter! We strolled some more and on the way back to the car got directions from the dress shop to a sweet little local beach that was a great spot to spend a few hours. Turquoise water, views to the tip of the island, and good sun were a relaxing way to pass the afternoon.
